Today we went for a look to see how the lot was coming along. Here are some photos of our block to be.

Preliminary Plans

Yesterday I got the phone call that our preliminary plans had been delivered. So I picked them after work yesterday and we are happy with how things were drawn up. We got our plans back within 4.5 weeks which I'm also happy about. Now just the long wait for the land registration to happen :( 

Upgrades

We paid our deposit to Allworth Homes yesterday so our changes will be sent of to get drawn up this week sometime. Should take about 5 weeks to get back they say so we will see how that goes. We got a few extras done as we are building a price leader home and not much is included, we are getting the gas package and colour bond roof.

• Moving the fridge position to window side of the kitchen - having the stove and the bench in the centre of the wall - no charge
• Waterfall edge to kitchen bench top - $235
• Upgrade stove to omega tuscany with wok burner - $120
• Ducted range hood and bulkheads in kitchen - $475 + $420

Loan Approved

Got a call from the Mortgage broker yesterday letting us know that our loan has been approved for both land and construction!!! Also paid a visit to Allworth in Chisholm to get a quote as we will be getting a fixed price hopefully we will get that back next weekend.

We have our land!

After months of waiting we have our land. It's a little smaller than we had originally wanted but it was better for the budget and they are benching it for us. It won't be registered until March 2015 so no activity until then. Fingers crossed we won't have to wait any longer than that!
